Avani is probably the best realtor in New Jersey. We could not have asked for more. We were out of state owners and wanted to sell our house in Saddle Brook, NJ, to consolidate our investments. We listed our house in early 2021 with another realtor. Unfortunately, after many months of back and forth, nothing seemed to be moving forward. It felt like we were constantly chasing that realtor to get anything done. That is when we reached out to one of our local friends in NJ who recommended Avani. Right from the first time we spoke with her, we knew we could trust Avani and we were never let down. In fact, she delivered way above and beyond we had ever expected, and then some. Avani immediately took charge of everything. She discussed pricing strategy. She arranged for handymen, plumbers, and landscapers to fix every little issue with the house; something we had been trying hard for months with our prior realtor. Within just a couple of weeks, she took care of all the innumerable little issues with the house, proactively staged the house, took professional photos and videos of the house, and set up a brand new listing for the house. She also marketed the listing really well. She held an open house in just a few weeks after we had first touched base. Within a few days after the first open house, we had many great offers from well-qualified buyers. She helped guide us through what would be the best offer for us, not necessarily for her. She essentially helped us sell our house at the best price and in the fastest time. However, that was not all. Between writing the contract and the closing, Avani continued to work very closely with us and continued to coordinate the transaction among the various parties including the sellers, the sellers' lawyer, our lawyer, the town of Saddle Brook, and ourselves. The town inspectors found some issue with the house and Avani fixed those issues in no time and got a new inspection done right away. She made multiple trips back and forth to the town office. In our opinion, if you want a trustworthy partner who is super-responsive, takes charge, is very knowledgeable and yet very humble, you would be hard-pressed to find anyone better than Avani.
The most underrated quality of a buyer’s agent is to know when to say No. If not for Avani, we would have bought 3 other houses before our current house we are in love with. When we were ready to offer a million dollars for a 3 bedroom with high end luxury fittings, Avani was the voice of reason to point out that luxury dissipates over time. When we were ready to pounce on a deal that looked too good to be true, Avani was level headed to point out water damage and explained how water has a way of finding its way back into a structure. She also helped us narrow our search to towns that had good public transportation since it’s easy to forget one’s daily commute during the pandemic. And, when we eventually found a house we loved, but was over our budget, her recommendation to write a heart felt note on why we loved the house helped our offer get accepted in a multiple-offer scenario, despite not being the highest bidder. We appreciate Avani for her balanced guidance and recommendations, her extensive local knowledge, responsiveness and proactivity, superior listening skills and her out of box thinking.
